Tellabration! a Worldwide Storytelling Event In-Person
For children and their families.
Milford Library is proud to be a part of Tellabration!, a mammoth storytelling event - and that's no Tall Tale! In partnership with The Connecticut Storytelling Center in New London, it's a storytelling phenomenon, made up of storytelling happenings all over the world. Tellabration! introduces adults and children to the pleasures of the oral art of storytelling.
Children and families are welcome to hear Laconia Therrio share tales on Saturday, November 15 at 11am. A therapist, a chaplain and the Director of Behavioral Science of Stamford Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program, Therrio shares stories from across the globe. As a professional storyteller he tells stories in schools, libraries, corporations…or wherever stories can be told. Believing that stories remind us more of our commonalities than our differences, his repertoire include stories from the Americas, the African continent, Europe and Asia. Whether folktale, myth, fable or scary, he invites the listener to discover the wonder of each tale.
