Furry, Scaly Friends In-Person
Furry, Scaly Friends for Rising Grades 6-12
Tuesday, 12/23 from 2:00-3:00 pm
All of our friends from Furry Scaly Friends are back for the holidays! Celebrate winter break with the Furry, Scary Friends - FSF educates and entertains with a relaxed program filled with facts and hands-on animal experiences! Young adults going into grades 6-12 will be able to touch many furry and scaly friends and see them up close while interacting! From prairie dogs to pythons, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas, lizards, axolotl, and more, Furry, Scaly Friends has and brings them all! Back on this visit, too, will be Dunkin, our favorite mini-pig.
What is the benefit of working and interacting with animals? It helps cultivate empathy, compassion, and respect for these creatures and beyond. Studies have shown that caring for an animal boosts connections to your community while helping with socialization and communication. Animals tend to melt away stress, feelings of depression, and loneliness. They are all ears – a great sounding board - and truly serve as a source for comfort and support. Drop-in any time on this informative, fun, furry, scaly program!
