Ukes from Scratch: a Ukelele Workshop for Complete Beginners In-Person
Ukes from Scratch: a Ukelele Workshop for Complete Beginners
for Grades 5-12 with the Edukated Fleas
Wednesday, April 12 from 3:00-4:30 pm
The ukulele is hot right now! Folks young and old are learning to play this friendly little instrument — and loving it! This spring break, students in grades 5-12 are invited to this workshop where they can learn some basic chords and techniques on a loaned ukulele! Ukulele performer and teacher Wendy Matthews, of the Edukated Fleas, leads this workshop with her family of loaner ukes available for you to use – or bring your own! She has been teaching uke to beginners and intermediates in groups and privately for several years. She has shared her Uke from Scratch workshop with newbies at libraries, festivals, music shops and other organizations across the tristate area. Registration required.
